Who is behind Austin Concert Tickets?
Well, my name is Dee and I live in the Texas Hill Country.. just outside Austin, TX, with my amazing husband. The ‘kids’ have moved out.
Our son, Paul is a hotshot internet entrepreneur, living the bachelor life with four of his buddies in Austin!
Daughter Savannah, is based in Germany for discipleship training and photography school.
Savannah is an awesome photographer (see one of her photos at end of post) and we hope to have some of her work on our site once she returns home.
Our official business is home building, along with real estate investing. A few years ago, my husband decided to fly solo with the building business which left me free to play!
That lasted maybe a few months. I love working on projects and creating…and I missed the excitement of home building. So, instead of building houses, I now build websites.
AustinConcertTickets.net was born from my love for:
1. Austin
2. Concerts
As I was thinking about what I would write on this page, I began reminiscing about concerts I’ve attended. It’s impossible to name them all.. and several artists I’ve seen multiple times.. but just for grins, I thought it would be fun to try and think of what concerts I’ve actually seen.. so here are the ones I can remember:
Joe Cocker and Leon Russell, Pink Floyd, Rod Stewart, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Rolling Stones, the Who, Hot Tuna, Led Zeppelin, Yes, Willie Nelson, Heart, Jerry Jeff Walker, Yanni with Voices, Bruce Springsteen, Van Morrison, Cheech and Chong, Ravi Shankar, Kris Kristofferson, Uriah Heep, Shawn Phillips, Elvis Costello, Frank Zappa, Jackson Brown, Josh Groban, Juan Gabrielle, ZZ Top, Doobie Brothers, Loggins and Messina, Dave Mason, Lyle Lovett, Bette Midler, Elton John, Billie Joel, Eric Clapton, James Taylor, Bonnie Raitt, the Eagles, Santana, Peter Frampton, Tammy Wynette, 3 Dog Night, Jethro Tull, Paul McCartney and Wings, Blue Oyster Cult, Rusty Weir, Charlie Daniels, Chicago, Joan Baez, Righteous Brothers, Liberace… yep, Liberace, took my mom for her birthday and had a surprisingly spectacular time! ..Chuck Berry, Moody Blues, Motley Crue, Boz Scaggs, Waylon Jennings, Rob Thomas, Linda Ronstadt, Bob Seger, Fleetwood Mac, Luis Miguel.
Ok.. so I completely realize that that list shows my age. Ah, well.. So many of those concerts were phenomenal. Like when I saw the Stones in Anaheim, CA (Some Girls Tour/summer 1978) and a girl in the audience threw her shoes on stage. Just kidding around, Mick Jagger said ‘Come on’ and everyone, and I mean hundreds (thousands?)of fans, threw their shoes on stage until the band was waist high in shoes! Or Josh Groban, who is absolutely amazing all by himself, had a young woman violinist (Lucia Micarelli) touring with him, and she brought the house down.
Now for whom I’d like to see:
Diana Ross, Dwight Yoakum, Reba McEntire, Taylor Swift, John Mayer, Celine Dion.. Hmm, I’ll have to think of who else I’d like to see. Course Janis Joplin or Michael Jackson.. and quite frankly, I always wanted to see Elvis Presley..
Enough about me! Now it’s time to hear from you.. Tell us who you’ve seen or who you’d like to see. Give a crazy story.. or incredible concert you went to see. Tell us all about your concert experience. We want to know! Or just contact us with questions or suggestions to make AustinConcertTickets.net a more enjoyable site.
That’s it for now, Dee
