Every year, Austin City Limits attracts thousands of people from all over the world to Austin TX for one of the greatest music festivals of all times. Austin City Limits, or ACL, is one of Austin‘s most famous.. and loved music events.. And sometimes it gets a little crazy.
It’s the cherry-on-top to Austin’s nick name “Live music capital”.. In the 3 short days that ACL rocks our world, it manages to bring together more than 130 bands, on only 8 stages, with all different genres of music… and all kinds of people. It takes place in Zilker Park with people coming together in their love of music. See ACL 2010 bands.
Austin City Limits is the finest way to open your eyes to a plethora of music styles, as well as see familiar bands that you love. The variety of different types of music that plays is impeccable. For example, this year Muse, The Eagles, The Strokes, M.I.A , and Band of Horsed will be performing. They’re all completely different genre’s, but all incredibly talented.
During the Austin City Limits concerts, our bipolar Texas weather never fails to show up uninvited. One day it’s the hottest day of the week, and on the following days, it might rain cats and dogs. So, a must is poncho and sunscreen. Nobody really wants your umbrella in their face, and you don’t want that red painful skin, do you? Prepare yourself for anything. And please stay hydrated. How depressing to waste your money by passing out, or see yourself featured in the Austin Chronicle, all passed out. 
If you have a coveted 3 Day pass, you’re one of the lucky ones. You’ll see great bands, and I’m sure you’ll also see lots of weird things. Well C’mon, you are in Austin. We didn’t get the bumper sticker ‘Keep Austin Weird’ for nothing! You must always expect the unexpected.
If you can’t get tickets because they’re all sold out or funds are low.. don’t worry. There are always the after parties, plus the bands that play during the festival usually play later on somewhere downtown. As it gets closer to the ACL event, we at AustinConcertTickets, will post about some of the free after parties so you don’t miss out.
