Austin City Limits Festival – Most active Austin weekend in October

Austin City Limits attract thousands of people, so try and imagine how hard it would be to get thousands of people to one park just to party for hours, pretty much the best torture. There is NO parking at the park for Austin City Limits and nothing even remotely close. They were at least kind enough to supply free shuttles that are close enough to walk, along with bike racks, a place for your scooters, Austin’s loved city buses, and gratefully a drop off zone and carpooling is always the best way if you’re taking your car. Just be ready to walk and dance all day.

Austin City Limits- Get out there, Tiger.

Imagine getting to ACL and realizing you forgot to bring cash/credit, a camera, sunscreen, water bottles, phone, or etc. You should definitely make a list for what you need and what you need to have fun. Before you put together your “needs” check ACL’s ‘Allowed and Prohibited Items List’, because I would hate to bring something that might be thrown away.

If you already know what bands you’re planning on seeing you should write what stage they’ll be at and what time. Get there early to get a good spot, especially if you’re planning on taking pictures. But be aware that the place is crowded so keep important things in your pocket, and wear your good pockets shorts. You know the ones.

You will need to bring money, you should bring cash. Yes, they have ATMs and service fees, but if you like service fees then go ahead. They will NOT let you bring food, drinks, or snacks, so cash is a must. Bring a chair because you will get tired of standing all day.

Bring your backpack, you’ll need it for your poncho, your water bottle, your extra shirt because that drunk guy next to you might drop his “not even close to last beer” on you, hand sanitizer for when you accidentally touch that drunken guy’s sweaty back when you’re seeing The Strokes, that camera for the pictures you promised all your friends and coworkers, and don’t forget to be positive. Don’t let that drunken sweaty guy get to you and if you’re planning on being him, think twice. The insanity level will be high this year; look forward to it! LOL
