American Idol super star Carrie Underwood was born on March 10 in 1983 in Muskogee of the Oklahoma state. She was raised in a farm by her parents along with two of her sisters.
Since childhood, Carrie Underwood performed in the local church and in many other local events. After graduating in 2001 from the Checotah High School, she joined the Northeastern State University. She got her bachelor’s degree in mass communication in 2006. By this time she performed on many occasions including a beauty pageant.
Carrie Underwood first took part in the fourth season of the American Idol in 2005. She was the winner of the competition. Later she reappeared in the fifth and sixth seasons of the programs, but as a performer, not as a competitor. Her success in the American Idol made her famous quickly.

The third album by Carrie Underwood was the Play On which was released in November of 2009. This album was also a great hit and positioned as number one in the Billboard 200.
