John Mayer is an American musician who had his first two studio albums do well commercially, achieving multi-platinum status. He won a Best Male Pop Vocal Performance Grammy Award for Your Body Is a Wonderland in 2003 as well as Best Pop Vocal Album for Continuum in 2007.
Mayer transitioned his music to the blues genre by performing the John Mayer Trio. In 2007, Mayer won Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for Waiting on the World to Change. In July 2009, at Michael Jackson’s Memorial Service, John Mayer played a guitar version of Jackson’s Human Nature.
Throughout his career, Mayer has played in a number of benefits and telethons. Despite the Grammy’s won by Mayer, his secret desire is to “be able to design an Air Max.”
