Jonas Brothers Biography:
The Jonas Brothers are one heck of a popular American boy band in the pop genera. Three brothers; Paul Kevin Jonas II, Joseph Adam Jonas and Nicholas Jerry Jonas are the members of the band. They became a household name when they starred with the Disney Channel. So far they have four albums including It’s about Time, Jonas Brothers, A Little Bit Longer, and Lines, Vines and Trying Times. They won the American Music Awards in 2008 in the Breakthrough Artist category.
The band was formed based on the solo performance of Nick Jonas. Since the age of seven, he started performing in the Broadway as well as started writing songs. He was very well received and by the year of 2004, he made joint contact with Columbia Records and INO Records. Joe followed the career and started in the Broadway. While Nick was working for his self titled solo album, his two brothers joined him. In 2005, Colombia Record made a contact with the three brothers as a band. They took the name “Jonas Brother” and started touring with several other bands.
Their first album, It’s about Time, was released in 2006 with a limited number of copies of 50,000. The first single of the Jonas Brother was Mandy which was released in 2005 and recorded as number four in the Total Request Live by MTV. The second title Year 3000 from the album was very popular in Radio Disney. The Jonas Brother lost its contact with Columbia Record in 2007.
In the same year they made a new contact with the Hollywood Records. Their second album Jonas Brother was released few month later. This was a bigger hit than the first album and within the first week, it reached to number five in the Billboard Hot 200 Charts. They also started to perform in some television shows as guest star for Disney Channel.
The third album, A Little Bit Longer, was released in August of 2008. Apple announced to sell four tracks of this album in their iTunes store from 24 June and one song in two weeks. Each of the tracks cost as much as the price of the whole album. In 2009, the fourth album, Lines, Vines and Trying Times was released. The album took the first position in the first week and the second position in the second week.
Beside the television performances, the Jonas Brothers also appeared in several films including Hanna Montana, Camp Rock, Jonas, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian and Camp Rock 2: the Final Jam. They also performed in many events as well as presenting many award ceremonies.
