The band recorded a few singles after their first EP and they first made history on the 14th of June, 2010 when they made #1 on the New Zealand Chart. This was no small accomplishment because it was the first time that a New Zealand artist has done so in the three years before June of 2010.

Jeanne Robertson’s “Open to the Public” Tour

Jeanne Robertson is will be performing her classic brand of humor at Paramount Theatre, in Austin Texas, on Sunday Feburary 26th for one night only. Although her “professional speaking” appearances are usually at private conventions, this one-night stopover of the “Open to the Public” tour is a rare opportunity to see her live.

[ad#300×250 L-side]Jeanne Robertson is funny. Without needing to use discriminatory, crude, or obnoxious humor, she masterfully engages her audience with insightful and real world comedy. And the crowds go hysterical for it. She has a way of being herself, a southern-raised, small-town girl, and at the same time she is capable of connecting with audiences of all types. Her sense of humor indeed strikes a universal cord.

With several youtube videos clocking in with views in the multimillions, Jeanne, wows audiences of all ages. A smattering of some of her most popular videos are such classic bits as, “Don’t go to Vegas without a Baptist,” “Don’t Bungee Jump Naked,” and “Don’t Send a Man to The Grocery Store.” But her success in not just a “sparkle in the pan,” she has been a household name for decades.

If you happened to be living in North Carolina in 1963, you would have surely heard of Jeanne, she was the winner of the Miss North Carolina Pageant and the coveted Miss Congeniality award at the national Pageant. A small town girl, faring from Graham, North Carolina, when Jeanne was catapulted to stardom she brought the whole town with her. When she made the trip from NC to Atlantic City for the national Pageant 400 people from her hometown came to support her. That was 10% of the population of Graham, at the time. But in her own words, “That was yeaaaarrrrrrrs ago.”

Today at the healthy age of 66, Jeanne Robertson is an internet sensation, and entertains the masses whether online or live on stage. Her comedy is based on revealing the humor in real life situations. She playfully pokes fun at the way people do things, including herself, and her insights are so funny that it is easy to miss the profundity of her messages.

Jeanne has been interviewed on 60 minutes, performed at the White House, and has been featured on the cover of the “Speaker” Magazine. Her wisdom-filled antics are aired daily by radio stations such as “Sirius” Radio, Laugh USA, Blue Collar Comedy, and Laugh Break, and is loved nationwide.

Jeanne is a member of the CPAE Speakers’ Hall of Fame, and received the golden gavel award from Toastmasters International for her outstanding leadership and communication skills. She notes that besides being a gifted speaker of the English language she is also bilingual, because she is a fluent speaker of “Southern.”

Best American Music Festivals

The USA has some of the world’s most famous cities and sights but they also hold some of the most awesome music festivals world over. Here’s a list of the top music festivals being held this year that you’d be a fool to miss out on. The best bit? There is something for everyone here, from huge rock bands and outdoor concerts to indoor art and film showcasing, I defy anyone not to find something that interests them here.

Sasquatch emerged in the past five years for the alternative and eclectic music lovers. The festival is held in Washington State and always pulls in the biggest names from the rock and indie scene. Definitely a must-visit if you live in the North America.

coachella festival

Coachella, which is held over two weekends is a fun filled, lively and young festival, crowned the kind og US festivals by most. The whole thing is outdoors (with camping for guests) and the music is mainly mainstream and indie / rock. Expect some well known, big acts (such as Snoop Dog) and some lesser known starters. Variation is the key here, and you’ll definitely get that!

ACL Festival
The ACL music festival , held in Zilker Park is one of the biggest and most environmentally friendly festivals in the USA. The festival which is held for 3 days, is packed full of great musicians but is also home to an amazing food hall and SoCo arts centre. Perfect for those who love a bit of culture with their music.  ACL tickets here.

Another Austin festival, this festival is jam packed full of everything you could imagine. The festival lasts about a week but has dedicated times for music, interactive and film acts. This great conference style festival offers more than your average muddy field, so it’s great for those who like a level of sophistication.

Bonnaroo is a fantastic music and arts festival held for four days just outside of Nashville. The festival have had the main focus of promoting jam and folk artists, however you will find some of the bigger RnB names performing here too.

Having been fully revived and back in full form, the Lollapalooza festival is a sure hit every year. The tickets for last year’s festival sold out super fast, so keep an eye out if you want to grab some this year! The festival is held on Chicago lake front and pulls in a varied crowd of young and old.

Gladys Knight at Moody Theater Austin - CD Beautiful Ballads

You will not want to miss the seven-time Grammy winner as she sings through some of her most loved songs of her career. Gladys Knight truly does speak to her fans through her songs. All across the country her music is loved and admired. This is probably even more true in Austin, Texas where her fans are excited to have her hold a concert in their very own Moody Theater.

About Gladys Knight

So many of the greatest singers of all time started in their youth. Gladys Knight is among that special group. She began making music history as a child with The Pips as her backup singers. She rose to the top throughout the 60s, 70s and 80s. Some of her most famous songs that are still listened to today are “Midnight Train to Georgia”, “Best Thing That Every Happened to Me”, “I Heard it Through the Grapevine” and “If I were Your Woman”.

[ad#300×250 L-side]Gladys Knight inspires fans throughout the U.S. with her R & B to soul pop music. Although she has not been as busy creating new songs and albums for Grammy Awards she has recently released a new single album called “I Who Have Nothing”.

What Songs Are You Looking Forward To Hearing At Moody Theater?

Anyone who is a fan of Gladys Knight and her music will surely be looking forward to these following songs. With this list we want to give you a brief history of each song and how it came to be. We hope you enjoy this and we are sure that you must be excited to attend her concert in March.

“Midnight Train to Georgia”

In 1973 this song became a #1 hit. After just one year after being released Gladys Knight and The Pips won a Grammy award.

The song’s theme is of a romantic love that transcends any type of differences. An interesting fact about the song, that many do not know, is that it was originally titled “Midnight Plane to Houston” and was intended as a country song. The song title was changed to “Midnight Train to Georgia” and was sung first by Cissy Houston. Gladys Knight and the pips sang it second and within eight weeks it became their very first #1 hit.

“I Heard It Through The Grapevine”

This song is one of Motown Records’ greatest hits yet. First sang by Smokey Robinson & the Miracles in 1966. The next year Gladys Knight and The Pips were allowed to sing the 3rd version of the song. It quickly became Gladys Knight & The Pips’ second #1 hit.

Look for these two #1 hits at her next concert here at Moody Theater Austin, Texas. Be prepared to also hear some new hits from her newest single album “I Who Have Nothing”.

This article about Gladys Knight and her concert at the Moody Theater was written by Jocelyn with the Living Dailies Writers Network.  Jocelyn has recently been writing about hot trends in many industries, including the nail industry. Check out her recent stories about the Shellac Manicure.

Colin Hay Austin Tickets

About Colin Hay:
I’m not even going to ask you to save the date – I know you definitely will for Colin Hay! Yes, the former Men at Work lead vocalist will be here in Austin… and he’s bringing everyone gifts! What gifts, you may ask? Well, what else? His wonderful music and singing talent – live on stage at Austin One World Theater!

Colin Hay who?

Well, for some of you guys who don’t know the name ‘Colin Hay’, you might want to ask your Mom and Dad. I’m sure they’ll tell you all about him. But since you’re here, let me tell you a bit of information about who Colin Hay is.
[ad#300×250 L-side]
Colin Hay is a famous musician from Scotland. In 1978, he started to pursue his career in music – he created a duo with Ron Strykert. After some time, the duo became a complete band after adding some members. Men at Work is one of the successful bands out there (Grammy winner and a lot more). The band called it quits in 1986 but reunited in 1996 – 10 years after. The band is still active with the current members Colin and Greg Ham (keyboards, saxophone, flute, harmonica and vocals).

Colin Hay – The Solo Career

After Men at Work separated, Colin Hay pursued his solo career. His music falls under different genres like Rock, Pop, Acoustic, New Wave and Country. He was able to release eleven studio albums up to date which include ‘Looking for Jack’, ‘Peaks & Valleys’, ‘Wayfaring Sons’, ‘Topanga’, ‘Going Somewhere’, ‘Transcendental Highway’, ‘Man @ Work’, ‘Company of Strangers’, ‘American Sunshine’, ‘Are You Lookin’ at Me?’, and the latest one, ‘Gathering Mercury’.

‘Looking for Jack’ is Colin Hay’s very first album in his solo career. The album received 3 stars from a professional music reviewer. ‘Man @ Work’ is another notable album in Colin Hay’s archive. Men at Work and Man @ Work – see the connection? For this album, some of the songs are actually Colin Hay’s versions from Men at Work songs.

‘American Sunshine’ is one of my favorite albums by Colin Hay. Not because I’m a big fan of Country songs – plus not all of the songs in that album were under that genre. It’s because this album has most of Colin’s personal songs – songs from the heart and songs that describes his relationship with others i.e. ‘There’s Water Over You’, which described his relationship with his mom and dad.

‘Gathering Mercury’ is Colin’s 11 studio album. It was released in May of 2011. Recorded in Colin’s home studio and a bit inspired by his dad (who passed away in 2010), this album cannot be more personal. The Daily Telegraph and Allmusic gave “favorable” as a rating to this album. Interesting, huh?

Did you know? That Colin Hay is married to a singer as well? Yes, indeed. Her name is Cecilia Noel. Cecilia, more often than usual, is the one who sings the back-up vocals at Colin’s shows.

Colin Hay, aside from being a terrific musician, can act, too. Very well, if I may add. He has performed in various TV shows and movies like ‘The Uninvited’, ‘The Country Bears’, ‘Cosi’, ‘Blue Heelers’ and ‘Scrubs’… just to name a few.

Emo’s East – Austin, TX

Attack Attack! - Attack Attack!

Attack Attack! coming to Austin on February 14. We personally like Emo’s East.. and aside for the fact that Attack Attack! is awesome.. it should be fun.

Attack Attack! Austin Tickets

About Attack Attack!:
A new album usually means a rockin’ tour will follow. For Attack Attack!, it’s no different. Recently announced, Attack Attack! will be releasing their 2012 album titled ‘This Means War’. Together with this wonderful news was the posting of their tour dates. And hurray! ‘This Means War’ tour will be coming in Emo’s East on Valentine’s Day. Ironic? War on Heart’s Day? Well, we strongly believe that it’s going to be a blast!

Attack Attack!?

For some of you who are not yet familiar with this band, Attack Attack! is a band formed in 2005 in Ohio. The band’s music is categorized under post-hardcore, metalcore and electronicore.

[ad#300×250 L-side]As of the moment, the band is composed of members Andrew Wetzel for drums and percussion, John Holgado for bass guitar, Andrew Whiting for lead guitar, and Caleb Shomo for lead vocals, keyboards and synthesizers. When they are on tour, they include Sean Mackowski to handle the rhythm guitar and clean vocals. Former members were Johnny Franck for rhythm guitar and clean vocals, Austin Carlile for lead vocals, Ricky Lortz for rhythm guitar and clean vocals, Nick Barham for lead vocals, and Nick White for bass guitar.

Attack Attack! and their albums

Before making a full album, like many other successful artists nowadays, Attack Attack! first released an EP or extended play. The titled of their EP is ‘If Guns Are Outlawed, Can We Use Swords?’ and was released in 2008.

A little after that EP release, they were able to sign to an Oregon-based music record label, ‘Rise Records’. Come November of the same year, the band was able to release their first studio album titled ‘Someday Came Suddenly’. Notable single on this album was ‘Stick Stickly’ which was named after Nickelodeon’s character – Stick Stickly. This album gained moderate success, received not-so-positive reviews from professional music critics. The album stayed at the number 9 position on the ‘Heatseekers Albums’ chart.

Attack Attack!’s second album, ‘Attack Attack!’, was released in July 2011. This album, however, received a more promising success that their first album. The album maintained the number 5 position on the Billboard Alternative albums chart. It landed the number 6 position on the Billboard Rock Albums chart, number 17 on the Billboard Digital albums charts, and number 26 on Billboard 200. Not bad at all. This time, music critics were also enthusiastic (positively) with their reviews. Notable singles on this album were ‘Smokahontas’ and ‘Last Breath’ (which was present on the Deluxe edition). They were able to promote this album at the 2011 Vans Warped Tour.

As mentioned above, the band has their 3rd studio album ‘This Means War’ ready to be released on January 17, 2012 – so, it will be available for purchase at the time of this concert.

Andrea Bocelli Austin Tickets

About Andrea Bocelli:
Words aren’t enough to describe how great and talented Andrea Bocelli is. He is definitely a legend. We all grew up hearing one or more of his songs and to date, we still love hearing and watching him perform. Well, there goes my good news! Andrea Bocelli is on tour… and guess what? It’s true! Andrea Bocelli will be here in Texas. Oh, what a night it will be.

“Andrea Bocelli’s music… his voice… closest thing to heaven”

My own personal comment but I think it matters because it’s so true.

[ad#300×250 L-side]Born on September 22, 1958, Andrea Bocelli is now 53 but still, his music is covetable. He was born in Toscana, Italy. He was born with poor eyesight and later detected with ‘congenital glaucoma’. After a football game accident, he lost his ability to see and that was in 1970 when he was only 12. Everything happens for a reason – you may say. Evidently, that didn’t stop him from anything… even pursuing what he is passionate about. Music. At an early age, Andrea Bocelli had a real love for music. He even said that it was the thing that made him feel at ease.

When I listen to Andrea Bocelli’s songs, I always find myself closing my eyes and just concentrating to that unique voice and how he delivers every note of the song perfectly. It’s a real pleasure listening to him. And that was only listening. When I saw him perform live, I was awestruck. He really is beautiful – his songs, his voice, and everything that he is. No wonder he was named as one of People Magazine’s ‘Most Beautiful People’.  Imagine Andrea Bocelli Austin Frank Erwin Center!

Aside from his brilliant vocals, Andrea Bocelli is also a multi-instrumentalist, being able to play the keyboards, saxophone, flute, trombone, trumpet, harmonica, harp, melodic, guitar and drums. His music is categorized under adult contemporary, classical, Latin pop, easy listening, operatic pop, opera and pop.

Andrea Bocelli and his awesome records

Andrea Bocelli was able to release 13 studio albums, 2 compilation albums, 4 collaborative albums, 8 complete opera recordings, 1 digital album, and 9 live albums and videos.

‘Il Mare Calmo della Sera’ was the title of Andrea Bocelli’s first studio album, released in 1994. It was followed by ‘Bocelli’ which was released a year after. This album made it as one of the best-selling albums ever in Germany. It also peaked number 1 on different charts including Finland, Netherlands, Belgium and Swiss Music charts. To name a few, his other albums were ‘Viaggio Italiano’ in 1997, ‘Sogno’ in 1999, ‘Sacred Arias’ also in 1999, ‘Cieli di Toscana’ in 2001 (which debuted number 11 on the US charts), ‘Amore’ in 2006 (owned the number 3 position on the US Albums Top 100), ‘Incanto’ in 2008 (peaked the number 8 position on the U.S. Billboard 200), and ‘My Christmas’ in 2009 (owned the number 1 position on the US Top Classical Albums).

Andrea Bocelli was able to release a lot of hit singles as well. Some of his solo singles were ‘Il mare calmo della sera’, ‘Ave Maria’, ‘Melodramma’, ‘Un nuovo giorno’ and ‘White Christmas/Bianco Natale’. He was also able to release a lot of duet singles that I personally believe we all really loved and still love. These are ‘Time to Say Goodbye’ with Sarah Brightman, ‘The Prayer’ with Celine Dion, ‘Somos Novios (It’s Impossible)’ with Christina Aguilera, ‘Because we believe’ with Marco Borsato, ‘Dare to live’ with Laura Pausini, ‘What Child Is This’ with Mary J. Blige, and ‘Bridge over Troubled Water’ also with Mary J. Blige – to name a few.

Andrea Bocelli gained a lot of awards. Well, with his talent, it’s really rather expected. Some of the awards that he received were ‘Best Single of the Year’ (Time to Say Goodbye) at Echo music awards in 1997, ‘Best Italian Singer’ and ‘Best Classical Interpretation’ at the World Music Awards in 1998, ‘Best selling classical album’ and ‘Album of the year’ (Sacred Arias) at the Classical BRIT Awards in 2000, ‘World best selling classical artist’ and ‘Best selling Italian artist’ at the World Music Awards in 2002, and ‘Outstanding Contribution to Music’ at the Classical BRIT Awards in 2002 just to name a few.

Andrea Bocelli is certainly one of the greatest in this industry. You will never be disappointed.

Los Lobos: Discography

Los Lobos was able to release 19 albums and 4 compilations. Some of their notable albums were the following: ‘Si Se Puede!’ (first album which was also a charity album) in 1976, ‘…And a Time to Dance’ in 1983, ‘How Will the Wolf Survive?’ in 1984, ‘By the Light of the Moon’ in 1987, ‘La Pistola y El Corazón’ in 1988, ‘The Neighborhood’ in 1990, ‘Colossal Head’ in 1996, ‘The Ride’ in 2004, ‘The Town and the City’ in 2006 and ‘Tin Can Trust’ in 2010. The last album ‘Tin Can Trust’ was able to receive a lot of positive reviews (like most of their albums) including 4-stars rating from professional critiques.

Also, Los Lobos covered the Mexican folk song ‘La Bamba’ which owned the number 1 spot in several singles charts including the ones from U.S. and UK. Other notable singles released by Los Lobos were the following: ‘Will the Wolf Survive’, ‘Shakin’ Shakin’ Shakes’, ‘Come On, Let’s Go’, ‘One Time, One Night’, ‘Bertha’, ‘Reva’s House’, and ‘Kiko and the Lavender Moon’.

In 2004, Los Lobos released their first ever live show DVD titled ‘Live at the Filmore’. In 2009, the band was able to release an album titled ‘Los Lobos Goes Disney’ – the album consists of Disney covers which is a really cool thing, if you ask me. It has Disney’s classics and old time favorites and of course, mixed with their twist. And wait till you hear the album… it’s just magnificent.

Los Lobos, with their unique talent, was able to release a lot of awards. They were able to receive multiple Grammy Awards which include ‘Best Mexican/American Performance’ (Anselma) in 1983, ‘Best Pop Instrumental Performance’ (Mariachi Suite) in 1995, and ‘Best Mexican-American Performance’ (La Pistola Y El Corazon) in 1989.

When it comes to Los Lobos’ live performances, the band cannot be denied – even for a bit. They are known for their lively and entertaining shows. The feeling of ‘want-to-dance-to-all-tunes’ will definitely arise while watching them perform. One group who watched one of their shows described the band as one of the solid and genuine musicians in the industry. They said that Los Lobos is truly talented and for that, they certainly want more… More performances! Well, it’s a good thing that Los Lobos is on tour again – more opportunities to see them perform live.

The Kills Austin Tickets

the The Kills Scoop:
If you’ve been longing to see a rock band – and not just any rock band – then we have a treat for you – The Kills is on tour here in Texas!

The Kills is a rock band composed of two talented musicians – Alison Mosshart (vocals) and Jamie Hince (guitars). They are also known for their stage names as ‘VV’ and ‘Hotel’ respectively. The band’s music is categorized under Indie rock, art rock, garage rock revival, and post punk revival. The duo definitely has a great chemistry when it comes to their music and their performance.

The Kills: The beginning

Before The Kills, Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince were already in a band. Alison was with ‘Discount’ – a punk rock band created in 1995. It was where she started her career as a musician. But after ‘Discount’ was disbanded, she went her way and co-found The Kills with Jamie.

Jamie Hince, before The Kills, was with the bands ‘Scarfo’, ‘Fiji’ and ‘Blyth Power’. Basically, Alison and Jamie first met in a hotel. The story was that Alison heard someone practicing music in a room above hers and found out that it was Jamie. After ‘Discount’ went their separate ways, they began their songwriting. It wasn’t easy given that they were in different countries. But as they always say… With patience, there’s music. (Don’t ask me who said that.)

The Kills and their albums

The Kills’ first album, ‘Keep on Your Mean Side’, was released in April of 2003. It was recorded in London at Toe Rag Studios. The album gained different kinds of reviews – some positive and the others, well, not so positive. But three professional reviewers gave their album a 4-star rating. And that is not an easy thing to achieve.

‘No Wow’ was their second album – it was released in 2005 but was recorded the year before. Like their first album, the reviews were not all positive but then again, they still received a lot of 4-star rating for this one. This album of The Kills peaked at number 22 on the US Heatseekers.

Their 3rd album ‘Midnight Boom’ was released in March of 2008. This album garnered a lot of good reviews – gaining a 5-star rating from one of its critiques. The album also owned the number 1 position on the US Heatseekers. On the US Independent Albums chart, the album peaked at number 16. Also, one of the follow-up singles – ‘Sour Cherry’ – was included on Gossip Girl (famous teen drama TV series).

The Kills’ fourth and latest album was titled ‘Blood Pressures’. The album was released last April 4, 2011 under Domino Records. The album received a lot of positive reviews – including BBC music’s review. The album’s first single ‘Satellite’ gained a lot of good reviews after being released on iTunes in January of this year (2011). The album has already charted number 8 on France charts and number 37 on the US Billboard Hot 200.

Aside from the professional critiques, their fans have also voiced out their reviews for the band. One group of friends said that The Kills is a must-see rock band and that once they are on stage, they will capture your attention and never let it go. Another group said that the band’s performance was the best show they’ve ever seen.

One of their fans said that she was a bit disappointed about the show… just a bit. She said that she wished that they had played longer. 🙂 And definitely, it was the best performance she’d ever seen so she wants to see more of them! Well, I say get more tickets for The Kills tour and have a blast!

How about you? Got any tickets yet? If I were you, I will not think twice about this – they are selling fast. Go and get tickets for The Kills tour now!

[ad#300×250 L-side]
Did you know? That the drum machine (an electronic instrument made to mimic drum sounds) was a big part of TMBG’s early years? Indeed. Linnell and Flansburgh used to perform with what is called a drum machine until in the early 90s when they became a total  band.

You might be wondering about where they got the name… Well, you know George C. Scott’s 1971 film – ‘They Might Be Giants’? There you go.

They Might Be Giants – Album talk

To date, They Might Be Giants has released 15 studio albums, 6 live albums, 8 compilation albums, 21 extended plays (EP) and 5 video albums.

They Might Be Giants’ first album was self-titled (also known as ‘The Pink Album’) and was released on November 4, 1986. ‘Don’t Let’s Start’ was the first single from the album – also one of the band’s famous song to date. Some notable compilation albums from the band were ‘Don’t Let’s Start’, ‘Dial-A-Song: 20 Years of They Might Be Giants’, and ‘Album Raises New and Troubling Questions’.

‘Birdhouse in Your Soul’ was the first single from the album ‘Flood’. This song was used in a UK TV advert (Clarks Shoes). It owned the number 6 position on the UK Singles chart while peaking at number 3 on the US Modern Rock Tracks chart. From the same album, their cover of ‘Istanbul (Not Constantinople)’ gained a huge success too. Also from the same album, the song ‘Particle Man’ also garnered a lot of positive acceptance and, along with ‘Istanbul (Not Constantinople)’, was used in Warner Bros. ‘Tiny Toon Adventures’ (an animated series).

‘No’ was They Might Be Giants’ 9th studio album – also their first children’s album. It was released in June of 2002. ‘Here Come the ABCs’ was their 2nd children’s album – under Idlewild and Walt Disney records. Their 3rd children’s album (Here Come the 123s) was released in 2008 as a sequel of their 2nd album. ‘Here Comes Science’ was their 4th children’s album and was released on September 2009. This is basically their third ‘edutainment’ album for kids. This album gained a lot of positive reviews which include a 5-star rating from

‘Join Us’ is the most recent studio album (an adult album, for that matter). It was released in July of 2011. And also the reason why they are on tour. Currently, the album owns the number 8 position on the U.S. Billboard Rock Albums and U.S. Billboard Alternative Albums, number 9 on the U.S. Billboard Alternative Albums, and number 14 on the U.S. Billboard Tastemaker Albums.

More about Bill Burr:
Bill Burr, the famous stand-up comedian, will be here in Texas – and we’re not kidding!

If you want to have a night of fun – if you want to laugh and laugh – and experience pure comedy, then think no more… You have to see Bill Burr perform!

Bill Burr: Up close and a bit personal

Bill Burr is a man that has the perfect bit for amusement. He is a stand-up comedian from Massachusetts – he is also an actor and a very famous radio host. His real name is William and he was born on June 10, 1968. His comedy piece falls under different genres like cringe humor, black comedy, observational comedy and satire. Bill Burr’s subjects are often about human sexuality, political correctness, race relations, professional sports, and my personal favorite, dating. Bill Burr’s comedy is influenced by some of the known stand-up comedian like Richard Pryor, Sam Kinison, and George Carlin.

Bill Burr pursued his career in stand-up when he was 23 years old. As a starting comedian, he performed to various projects. Through his career, he was able to perform on different famous shows like ‘Late Night with Conan O’Brien’, ‘The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien’, ‘The Late Show with David Letterman’, and ‘The Green Room with Paul Provenza’. Did you know? That Bill Burr is the first comedian (stand-up) to ever present stand-up comedy on ‘The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien’? Yes, he did at that and it was pretty amazing.

Working as an actor, Bill Burr appeared on ‘Chappelle’s Show’ as one of the casts – for two episodes. Also, he got a gig on HBO’s ‘One Night Stand’ in 2005 as one of the stand-up comedians to deliver their own specials. Other gigs/appearances as a comedian were on the ‘Bob and Tom Show’, ‘Comedy Central Presents’, XM Satellite Radio’s ‘Opie and Anthony Show’, ‘Just for Laughs’ and ‘Comics Come Home 2’. He was also able to host a radio channel program called ‘The Virus’ in 2006. The title was ‘Uninformed’ and as of now, Bill Burr is still co-hosting the show with Joe DeRosa. And the news is, there’s a big chance that they will be doing the show for a very long time.

Bill Burr’s albums

Bill Burr released an album in October of 2007, titled ‘Emotionally Unavailable: Expanded Edition’. The reviews were mostly positive for this album. He released his second album, ‘Bill Burr: Why Do I Do This?’ in 2008. The reviews were so much positive – one review stated that they were laughing the whole time and that Bill Burr is definitely one of their favorite stand-up comedians.

In 2010, Bill Burr released another album titled ‘Bill Burr: Let It Go’. The fans were just ecstatic on this one – definitely a must-watch.

Podcast and Bill Burr? Yes, definitely. Bill Burr has been recording a one-hour podcast – weekly. And that was since 2007.

Movies and Bill Burr? 100% Yes. And if you have been wondering for some time now, yes, he was Detective Walsh on the 2010 movie ‘Date Night’.
